Job Description
Sr. Process Engineer
REQUIREMENTS -
    • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering

    • 5-15 years of experience performing basic engineering analysis and design functions.

    • PE license preferred

    • Project experience in any of chemicals, refining, agribusiness, food, pharma/bio, oil and gas.

    • Experience in pressure relief analysis and flare system design and documentation.

    • Process flow drawing (PFD) and P&ID development experience preferred.

    • Experience in the design of process equipment (vessels, pumps, exchangers, fired heaters/equipment, compressors) specifications.

    • Ability to perform heat exchanger design calculation.

    • Working knowledge of API 520/521 and ASME codes.

    • Process steady state modeling experience (HYSYS, AspenPlus, etc.).

    • Hydraulic modeling experience (AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow, etc.) preferred.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.

    • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities for project efficiency.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


DESCRIPTION
As an Industrial Lead Process Engineer you will collect and prepare data/information and perform detailed engineering calculations. The Industrial Lead Process Engineer will also perform engineering design and analysis on complex or unique problems and will coach/develop less experienced engineers, designers, and drafters. The Industrial Lead Process Engineer will demonstrate technical/professional growth annually by maintaining active membership in professional organizations and participating in technical seminars/courses.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Collect and prepare data/information, perform detailed engineering calculations, and write formal engineering/technical reports.
    • Develop technical specifications and data sheets, perform technical evaluation of bids, and recommend best value design which meets client requirements for operability, reliability, maintainability, and safety.
    • Provide field leadership work by checking installations and problem-solving activities.
    • Perform calculation checking and vendor drawing reviews.
    • Serve as a Project Lead for more complex projects by estimating work hours, developing scope of work, making staffing recommendations, and checking project deliverables prior to issuance.
    • Interact with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information.
